We hired Mr. Goedde to prepare our 2018 S-Corporation and personal form 1040. He was very prompt getting the work done and we were pleased with the high quality, reliability, and accuracy of his work. We do our business from our home office and he told us we could take a deduction on the S-Corporation return for these expenses. After I prepared a schedule for these expenses, he computed depreciation on the house and allocated part of it to the home office and entered the home office expenses on the S-Corporation return. Our return was more complicated in 2018 because we have a house in Chicago we lived there until the end of 2017 we are renting to someone. He did the schedules to compute the income, expenses, and net income for the rental house to be reported on form 1040, Schedule E. He made several suggestions to lower our taxes and to reduce the amount owed and very helpful for financial planning advice.He also reviewed our three prior years S-Corporation and personal returns and discovered the previous preparer did not take a deduction for the home office expenses which understated the S Corporation loss and the allowable S Corporation loss deductible on form 1040. I prepared a schedule for these expenses and he prepared corrected and amended returns for our S-Corporation and personal returns for 2015-2017 and received a large refund for overpaid taxes on our personal returns because of the additional loss deducted for the home office expenses.We highly recommend Mr. Goedde for all income tax services and financial planning.
